Carlson Lake is located on the Sechelt Peninsula of the Sunshine Coast, 22 km northwest of Sechelt and 7km north of Halfmoon Bay.

Access to the lake from Sechelt is via Hwy 101 and the Halfmoon-Carlson logging road.
