Skydiving is
a positively thrilling experience that is awesome fun, providing
spectacular sights and exhilarating sensations. Learning
to skydive is a life-changing adventure, be it the thrill of freefall
or learning to fly your own parachute.
Whether you
choose to do the First Jump Course or a Tandem Jump for your first
skydive, you will enjoy a most unique experience and the best possible
views of Victoria, the Saanich Peninsula, the BC Gulf Islands, Juan
De Fuca Strait and even Mt. Baker in Washington State on a clear
day.
The First Jump
Course involves ground instruction followed by an aircraft ride,
"solo" instructor-activated-canopy-deployment jump from 3,000 feet,
and a guided descent under canopy. Personalized training ensures
that you gain insight into how to fly your parachute and learn advanced
free fall skills from a professional.
On a tandem
jump you will undergo 30 minutes of training from your instructor
before enjoying an aircraft ride to 10,000 feet. You will exit the
aircraft attached to your Tandem Master, enjoying approximately
35 seconds of free fall before your instructor deploys your "two-person"
parachute for an exhilarating canopy descent from 5,000 feet. Tandem
skydiving is likely the most exhilarating adrenaline rush you'll
ever experience.
Tandem Jumps
usually include a video of the jump, to preserve and enjoy the memory
of your jump with friends and family for years to come. A tandem
jump is a great way to experience parachuting without the responsibility
of jumping solo.
Skydiving in
Victoria is operated out of the Victoria International Airport,
near Sidney on the Saanich
peninsula.
