Fillongley Provincial Park is a 23-hectare forested park located on the east coast of Denman Island. There are several short but scenic hiking trails through a peaceful forest of old-growth firs and cedar trees, and a salmon spawning stream on Little George Creek.
Spend the afternoon basking in the sun or stroll and beachcomb along the driftwood-strewn shoreline. Fillongley provides great views across Lambert Channel to mountainous Hornby Island, and beyond that to the Coast Mountain Range on the BC mainland. Cycling is an ideal way to explore the relaxed and peaceful Denman Island.
There are only 10 vehicle/campsites at the park, which tends to fill up quickly in summer months. In July and August, reservations are highly recommended, as there’s no telling in advance whether you’ll find room here. Campers should have alternate camping plans on Denman Island if the park is full and you have no reservation.
